Science Week of 4/13

This week we will continue to explore how the surface of the Earth undergoes gradual and rapid changes. We should understand how rocks and fossils are used to understand the age and geological history of the Earth (with timelines and relative dating, rock layers). We will be conducting a lab on Igenous rock samples. Look at how Igenous rocks form, quickly look over Metamorphis Rock samples, do a Chalk Talk of all 3 types of rocks and conclude the week with a review for a Rock Cycle test on Monday 4/20. Your exceptional behavior in the lab is a must and you will need to keep at pace with the material that we are covering. If you need any assistance please see us either before or after school.
