What We Did Today
Today we observed our plots at school, those whom have a plot at home we were able to discuss specific species identified. We then worked on what items were present in our location. Students also had individual conferences regarding missing work.
Emails are going home regarding missing work, any missing assignments will default to Saturday school on 5/30.

What We Did Today
Today we worked on defining terms for our ecology project and worked on a table for data collection.

Emails are going home regarding missing work, any missing assignments will default to Saturday school on 5/30.

-Mythology: Groups wrote dialogue for their mythology story skits and delegated one person from the group to type it for homework.

What we did today: Today we went over the assignment comparing Ashoka and Cyrus. We then read about Qin Shi Huang Di. After reading, students filled out the Emperor Comparison Chart which will be graded as a summative assessment. If students did not finish it in class, they are to finish it at home and turn it in tomorrow. Assessments not turned in tomorrow will be graded as a zero.
Homework: Complete the Emperor Comparison Chart if not completed in class. This must be turned in tomorrow to be graded. Students who are absent will complete it when they come back to school.
The final assessment will be due on Friday June 5th.

Science 5/14
What We Did Today
Students worked on finishing up their stream table lab. We discussed where the water came from how the landscape was altered and key features they should have noticed. Periods 1-3 did this yesterday and so today we moved forward talking about Water. Our discussion ended with trying to figure out water sources. Students were presented with an extra credit opportunity to look up the source of some bottled water companies. We should know where the water is coming from.
Homework
Study for Friday Quiz. Work on Extra credit of where water comes from.

In periods 5-6 we went over our weathering activity from Friday where we went out to the Courtyard to observe Mechanical/Physical and Chemical Weathering. All other periods went over their letter to a friend during 1936 and peer edited, we also did this in period 5/6 when we where finished discussing Friday's activity. Then worked on Final copy to be done in ink and due tomorrow. (5/6)

What We Did Today
In periods 1-4 we went over our weathering activity from Friday where we went out to the Courtyard to observe Mechanical/Physical and Chemical Weathering. We also watched a video about life during the Dust Bowl and started our rough draft of a 1-3 page paper writing a letter to a friend describing our life at that time. In periods 5/6 we watched the video and started the letter. We will begin class tomorrow debriefing our activity from Friday.
